The due process should be an investigation of his claims.
There is an active genocide going on, and we have participants in that genocide walking around on Canadian streets. That's a reality. What he is claiming is entirely plausible. It's entirely plausible that he's one of the IDF who has murdered children, or murdered starving civilians trying to get food. Any investigation that did not assess his claims would be utterly negligent, and if his claims are true he should face consequences and be prevented from ever doing so again.
If established that his claims are true, I'm fine with either capital punishment or long-term imprisonment. I disagree with Canadian law on the application of capital punishment in circumstances such as crimes against humanity like genocide, but I'm fine with accepting Canada's legal position.
What I'm not fine with is there being an ongoing genocide, participants in it being free in Canada, and anyone claiming to have participated in it not being investigated. You are leaning towards dismissing it based on your own premature psychological assessment and strawmanning against the point that his claims should be investigated as though it is just wild hysteria.
If he was being aggressive on the street and shouting "I beat the shit out my wife all the time and I'm going to beat her again" you wouldn't just say "He seems a bit off. This guy's like a crazy old uncle. Needs a bit of a psych eval" and leave it at that. You would fully expect that it should be checked whether or not he beats his wife, and if he did there should be consequences, because the shouting in public is not the most significant concern.
Remember the Canadian aid workers that got killed in Gaza? He might have killed Canadians if he did the same back when he was in service,
