If you want to go there : All US action movies have a gun displayed on their poster. The US is number one in gun homicide from a very, very wide margin. You can always say it's not linked. Other countries think it is.

Yes, I will say that posters with guns are unrelated to the number of real crimes.

Not the poster by themselves, but that means that for any US action movies, the hero is identified as a person with a gun. The gun is kinda the symbol of its power.

One such movie from time to time is perfectly OK. When all of them glorify guns, you have a cultural problem.
