Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

Some have esims and 4/5g modules installed already for "telemetry".
For real? You've got a source for that? Because that's probably not cheap to do for continued use.
I worked with IoT devices with a "5g" radio. The company had to pay a cellular contract just like anybody else.
I HIGHLY doubt LG is going to pay for that.
Someday. Sounds crazy but someday it will be profitable to do it, like a Skynet rising
I have AdGuard running on the router as a preventative measure, and it’s an older Samsung Q65 that doesn’t have any confirmed 5g modules. I should probably block its MAC address for added security though.
I’ve read that DNS level blocking often doesn’t stop this kind of telemetry because it goes directly to an IP without a DNS query involved.
Hey, good catch. I didn’t think of that.
Can you provide a reference for this? While technically possible, I don't think this has actually happened, and spreading misinformation is counter productive.
