Hi all, I’m looking to purchase my first mechanical watch in the next couple of months and am seriously considering either the Hanhart 417 ES 42mm or Tudor Black Bay Chrono. I really love the reverse panda. The Hanhart is quite a bit cheaper than the Tudor but the Tudor has a few advantages such as 200m water resistance. Which would you choose?

That’s good to know! I travel a lot and at times go through metal detectors quite a bit but it should be fine. I’ll definitely try out some different straps for variety. There’s a lot to know and I need to keep learning about it all. Appreciate your input

Airport security has little effects on watches. But the thing to watch out for is dropping them 😂 when taking them off when going through the metal detector.

But if you're doing the standard mm wave scan, I think you can keep them on.
