Can we settle the Tyrese Maxey vs Jaylen Brown debate once and for all? (alien.top)

Maxey is a much better shooter, ball handler, and just quicker than Jaylen Brown, who is a bit taller but that's about it. As it stands, Maxey is a superior player and I think the debate can be settled once and for all.

Is there a phrase for when people on Reddit completely invent some opinion to argue against or at least amplify some extremely niche opinion and then acts like heaps of people believe it

It's kind of like strawmanning but different
