the only baller i could think of who could legitimately talk about changing to a different sport and succeeding at a high level is steve nash and soccer

There is a strong crossover between Australian NBA players who were good Australian Rules Football prospects as kids. Most of them play representative junior Australian Football until they're 15yo or 16yo when it becomes impossible to do both.

Havlicek was drafted by the Browns, Pat Connaughton was drafted by the Padres, Kris Humphries had Olympic level swimming potential as a kid, there’s a few but one of the tougher sports for crossing over definitely

Bill Russell was an Olympic level high jumper (4th in world) before joining the NBA. Wilt retired from NBA then wentnon and had a HOF volleyball career

I think steph curry could be a pro level golfer

not consistently winning tournaments but he'd be on the pro circuit and making money with top 10s top 20s

Suggs was Mr. Minesota in basketball and football he was getting some high level offers for D1 pretty sure.
