He'd also just not even make a team, so there's that. He didn't even play in high school, just Pop Warner which he gave up as a 10 year old. Won't have a shot against guys who have been continuously playing organized football, studying playbooks, and specifically conditioning for football since they were kids.

Antonio Gates didn't play college football at all and should become a hall of famer this year.

Antonio Gates is an all time freak athlete. I guess you could argue that Ant is, too.

He set up a workout with NFL scouts and got signed as an undrafted free agent after playing bball in college. So... Basically, yeah?

I dont understand, I googled Antonio Gates and the first thing that shows is that he played football in high school. Y'all made it seem like he had never played football and then just set up a workout and got signed

Insane athlete, college basketball player but too small to play at the next level (for the type of player he was).
