Hilarious but i'm surprised that year 9s would not understand the reference, and would even fall for that? Maybe anon doesn't realise that his class is messing with the teacher because they understand what he's doing.
My class in year 9, we had to watch Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and the most troublemaking boys just stood up and T-Posed because there was a scene where kids were playing by pretending to be aeroplanes. Teacher got mad and didn't let us finish the film.
Also in year 9 the guy sat next to me spent his time trying to convince me the nazis "weren't so bad"
It's one of those key formative years
Why should they get the reference? They are just random kids.
I think i first fully learned about nazism at 10 years old, but i guess I might be an exception.
That said, I just think we were all canny enough to know when a teacher is doing a trick as presented in the greentext, and in my experience teenagers are so naturally un-co-operative that the situation above should have been expected anyway.
