I thought that the 'thin blue line' image in the thumbnail would make it clear that this movie isn't going to paint the police in a positive way.

That sort of nuance is never going to be noticed on the internet I've learned. It was obvious to me as well that by putting the thin blue line there right in the background that this was going to be "testing" his view of the thin blue line. Isn't that obvious, from the image it's something the character holds to be very important, so important that it brands him, and the whole movie is going to be chipping away at that.
But internet people don't see that level of nuance, and immediate downvote.
