For a 13yo who hasn’t been sheltered exactly but also doesn’t need any ideas. I showed her the Holiday Songs episode from season 3. I was thinking the “Shit” episode, but what else?

My mom was skeptical of letting my sister and I watch SpongeBob when we were kids based off of what she had heard about the show. So she decided to watch an episode of it to see if it would be ok for my sister and I to watch.

Of course, the episode she saw was the “Sailor Mouth” episode where all the (numerous) cuss words are bleeped out by fish noises. The entire episode revolves around cussing and my sister and I were VERY sheltered by my mom.

So yeahhh it was a few years later until my sister and I were allowed to watch SpongeBob 😂.

Ooooohhh boi, yeah sometimes it be like that unfortunately. I'm sorry. My kids mom had similar reservations but I'm nothing but a grown assed kid so I can vet shit like that. SpongeBob is the least of my worries. They watch total drama island with no supervision and I feel like that's way worse than anything SpongeBob has ever done

Yeah I feel like Cartoon Network had sketchier stuff than SpongeBob. Most of the adult jokes in SpongeBob I was too young to understand anyways.

But between school and eventually watching South Park, I learned about most of the stuff she was trying to hide
