All About Mormons. Has barely any swearing or sexual references. Just poking fun at Mormons and still hilarious and iconic.
South Park
Everything related to the animated television show South Park! (Images, videos, quotes, news, articles, thoughts, trivia, etc.)
I do love that one.
dum dum dum dum dum
lol just rewatched that one last night, it’s a classic
Love this episode; it’s my usual go to. That and The Ring (I think) when Kenny and his new GF, Tammy Warner, start wearing purity rings after seeing the Jonas Brothers concert.
No offense, but any 13-year-old that goes to a public school has been exposed to way worse by their friends and classmates than anything in South Park.
Especially in the age of the internet.
If the child's under 10, I would understand the concern. 13 though? Not really.
I was taught right and wrong, reality and fiction, by my parents when I was very young. I never took "advice" or "ideas" from anything in the adult media I watched as a child.
My kids rib me all the time for allowing them to watch SP but the thing is I've seen enough to know what I do/don't want them to watch and even on some of the more uncomfortable episodes if there's a lesson to learn I'll open a dialogue and educate them if needed. They see so much out of my control and awareness and I'd rather curate that as best I can do they're prepared for more heinous shit that really deserves my attention cuz at least the dialogue was started
My mom was skeptical of letting my sister and I watch SpongeBob when we were kids based off of what she had heard about the show. So she decided to watch an episode of it to see if it would be ok for my sister and I to watch.
Of course, the episode she saw was the “Sailor Mouth” episode where all the (numerous) cuss words are bleeped out by fish noises. The entire episode revolves around cussing and my sister and I were VERY sheltered by my mom.
So yeahhh it was a few years later until my sister and I were allowed to watch SpongeBob 😂.
Ooooohhh boi, yeah sometimes it be like that unfortunately. I'm sorry. My kids mom had similar reservations but I'm nothing but a grown assed kid so I can vet shit like that. SpongeBob is the least of my worries. They watch total drama island with no supervision and I feel like that's way worse than anything SpongeBob has ever done
My kid doesn’t go to public school 🤷🏻♀️
Hasn’t been sheltered, eh?
She doesn’t need to start acting like Cartman 😂😂 she’s also very, uh, passionate about social justice issues and I am NOT going to fight with her about a damn cartoon.
Well don’t then lol explain the humour instead and try and convey what the issue the episodes are detailing is. Show them other viewpoints and ways of seeing things rather than your own personal opinions. They’re only your kid, they’re not you. Let them figure it out on their own
Lol nah ignore them I'm glad I wasn't allowed to watch South Park or Game of Thrones either. 13 is very young and impressionable. I did play stick of truth in highschool though and I was shocked at one part of the game 😭 I wouldn't say I was sheltered but I'm glad my parents didn't expose me to any lewd or crass content. And low-key the people I knew in middle school and highschool that were south Park fans did act like Cartman 💀 They were not the nicest kids and class clown types and did curse a lot.. I would say the more sheltered kids at my school were those that weren't allowed to watch SpongeBob or Harry Potter. Anyways I'm about to graduate college and have just picked it up after the Black Friday episode was suggested a couple days before Thanksgiving. I'll say this show is genius 😂 And the Photoshop episode almost made me tear up. I looked it up and I was shocked that the episode came out so long ago. Actually I was literally in middle school when it came out 😭 I love that you're semi censoring it for your kid. And coming from a former 13 year old, seeing spicy scenes and crude jokes with my parents always made me cringe 😬 Still does! Anyways thanks for asking this question! I'm definitely going to watch the episodes people recommended!
As a 13 year old I have learned more things from my school that’s a private school than SP has
i think the simpsons already did it is a good one, scott tenorman must die, and definitely casa bonita
The Ring
All about Mormons
Pinewood Derby
Make Love, Not Warcraft. The boys get addicted to World of Warcraft. Video game violence but nothing sexual.
This is the first one I let my boys watch. It’s a very solid choice, and at most PG-13.
And also one of the show's best episodes.
Are You a Mormon
The Losing Edge, Tsst, Super Fun Time, Going Native, Tweek X Craig, and Basic Cable are some of my faves that are really tame
The Losing Edge
Super fun time.
Black Friday Trilogy has a few dick jokes but is mostly a game of thrones parody.
I think parents were doing the do in this one 😅 so prolly not
I started watching before I was 10 and I turned out fine haha. That being said, a personal favorite of mine is Spookyfish. It’s pretty tame and just plain silly fun with a “horror” aspect.
Oh that one is funny. I feel like people ignore the earlier seasons. Including me, sometimes.
I wasn’t allowed to watch it at all as a kid. Idk what other parents allow but my kid can’t keep her damn mouth shut so I don’t need her to be the only kid singing “shut your fucking face uncle fucker” At a completely inappropriate time. Kid has never been able to read a room.
So why not teach your 13 year old about “time and place”? They should know by that age when and where it’s appropriate to say certain things.
Zip lining, pip.
The Guitar Hero episode was what my first episode was at 11. Most of the actual adult jokes went over my head.
The Civil War one was pretty tame (outside of some grabass) and is very funny and well done.
I fucking lose it Everytime Cartman loudly whispers, "I bet you can't, because you guys are pussies."
Definitely Help, My Teenager Hates Me! Its about the boys bonding with their fatgers. Super wholesome, definitely recommend.
Mmh I wonder if the one on Scientology is OK for a 13 yr old, guys?
Oh she would probably get a kick out of that one
Scott Tenorman Must die...that's all folks!
scott tenorman must die
Dikinbaus Hot Dogs
Let her watch the whole series.
The one where the fireworks are replaced by a giant snake. But that has to be the most boring episode they ever made.
Awesome-o
A lot of the early episodes are pretty tame. The super hero episodes too(wish I could say the same of the blackfridsy epidodes lol). Here's a couple others that aren't super mature
Something Wall mart comes this way(season 8 episode 9)
Good times with weapons (season 8 episode 1)
The Poor Kid (season 15 ep 4)
Pandemic 1&2 (season12 episode 10&11)
Rainforest shmainfest(season 3 ep 1)
The New Terrance and Philip Movie Trailer(season 6 ep 5)
Simpson already Did It(season 6 ep 7)
Casa Bonita (season 7 ep 11)
The Losing Edge(season9 ep 5)
The List (season 11 ep 14)
The Guitar Hero Episode is pretty okay. The worst it gets is Heroin Hero, but for a 13 year old that isn’t really too bad in my opinion.
Good call. It’s actually a good lesson! Great episode too.
you never catch the dragon!
