Narratives have always driven this entire story. Even people on this sub were trying to will him to being a top 10 player immediately, despite the evidence right in front of their faces. People’s ability to willingly live in delusion because of their feelings is a fundamental part of why the world is so shit right now, this is just one easily observable example of that
