I used to watch a lot of Cavs games during LeBron's last run there, and they were some of the more entertaining and generally fun duo to listen to. This was during the era of that guy that used to say "Slam that hamma down!!". Loved that dude!

Today, I started watching the Cavs-Lakers game, and holy shit the new guy is obnoxiously biased that it was difficult to watch the game. The dude was whining and calling obvious fouls "that's a bad call" or "to me that's a no call". Lol, the most ridiculous part is when the dude said that LeBron gets a lot of touch fouls LOL.

Is that guy new or something?

And where is the other dude (hamma down guy)? He was such a blast to listen to.

Two things:

  1. Fred McLeod died (John Michael is a great announcers in his own right, but no one really compared to Fred).

  2. Austin Carr hasn't been doing color commentary as much anymore. Additionally, he is not quite as sharp as he used to be, and although him and John get along well, Carr and Fred really had a great bond.
