I'm a proud owner of Sennheiser HD650 for more than 5 years. Absolutely love them. Decided to try Beyerdynamic DT 1990 pro from Amazon at 430Eur. And I've come to the conclusion that its time for me to own 2 excellent headphones.

Now being the cheap ass I am. I want to return the ones I have and buy a used pair for 300Eur.

The question. Will the used headphones purchased in 2019 be as good as the new ones? I mean i dont see my HD650 ageing besides the pads.

Cheers and happy black Friday shopping

I'm an original owner of a set of HD-580 Precisions, which I bought before they released the Jubilee edition, so we're talking 1993-ish. I've had to replace the headband cushions once, and the earpads several times. Last set I bought are Dekoni Elite Velours, and they certainly outlast Sennheiser OEMs, as they are still perfect after a few years.

So yeah, I have 30-yr old headphones that still work. Original cable is lost, I still have the Cardas cable for it, and I've added a Balanced cable for it to use with my Cavalli Liquid Platinum amp.
