Saying that a whole generation of people are lame and then having one of the lamest pictures in the history of humanity taken of yourself, ok

[–] datendefekt@feddit.org 99 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (4 children)

I read lamest picture and my mind immediately jumped here

[–] grte@lemmy.ca 29 points 4 days ago

This one is basically impossible to top.

It's funny because if he had actually turned into a cool person I bet this would retroactively have become a kind of fun campy picture. But really it's just a reminder of what a disappointment he's turned out to be.

Honestly there's nothing wrong with swashbuckling cosplay or dudes with long hair. It's just that this dude in particular happens to be a malignant sociopath and megalomaniac.

Maybe we shouldn't stigmatize those other things by trying to draw a connection between them and his overwhelming shittiness. That seems like confusing correlation with causation.

There really should be an annual contest to crown the lamest person on earth. Maybe we could start one on here.

Also the picture looks like it's from 5 years ago of someone who's trying a bit too hard to be cool 😂

[–] MrSelfDestruct@reddthat.com 20 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Didn't this guy rape his sister?

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 15 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Honestly, that sounds like a shakedown to me. The case was thrown out, and the family has said she had a variety of mental health issues. She also made a tweet blaming Elon Musk for being homeless, which isn't a good look for her.

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 18 points 4 days ago

Someone else posted on another thread a republican judge threw out case because she medically couldn't move and she wanted somewhere closer to her. They then claimed the below:

she refused to appear for an independent medical examination despite warnings that failure to do so would result in the case’s dismissal.

So in context sounds like they got him off on technicalities. I dont know much else so hopefully someone else fill more.

and the family has said she had a variety of mental health issues

She was raped by her brother. Use your head.

[–] robert@piefed.ca 1 points 4 days ago (3 children)

She also accuses her brother of hacking her WiFi and spying on her and a bunch of other paranoid sounding things. Not saying this to discredit her but just put it in context

[–] db2@lemmy.world 13 points 4 days ago

He's a sociopath, can you really rule it out with a hand wave?

Also if she's crazy I refer you to my previous comment. Try to imagine how difficult sanity would be if you had been raped by your brother.

[–] reksas@sopuli.xyz 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

So its on her for breaking down mentally? Doesnt prove or discredit it either way but her mental condition definitely doenst mean everything she says is wrong.

[–] robert@piefed.ca 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

People are really reading malicious intentions into my comment… I’m not trying to suggest that this discredits her. I’m just explaining why people are ascribing mental illness to her.

[–] reksas@sopuli.xyz 2 points 3 days ago

I think its a reflex at this point. And it also comes from being so tired of all the shit you kind of stop thinking.

[–] sexhaver87@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 days ago

What would you be saying this for if not to discredit?
