He does put effort on defense, just not consistently. Same about rebounds. He doesn't cry about every call this season (he did in previous seasons).

I'm not saying he doesn't have flaws, but he's not the main reason for this loss (and most other losses). The team lacks size and coaching has been very bad. It looks better when Lively plays, but he's a rookie and is still inconsistent. But the main problem of this team is Kidd IMO. Defense is terrible (with and without Luka), there are too many games where players don't show any effort (everyone, not just Luka), his decisions sometimes are just weird.
