I think my list will have Rudy, AD, Bam Adebayo, Brook Lopez, Mitchell Robinson as the top 5 defenders in my DPOY race so far.

Other Notable defenders: OG, Dillon Brooks, Herb Jones, Alex Caruso all deserve some appreciation

I personally think Brown has been better than Tatum so far this year. Tatum gets beat by smaller, quicker guys and Gets bullied by bigger guys. Brown is just a better POA defender since he is quicker and has a longer wingspan. Tatum is a better defensive rebounder.

Both fall asleep off-ball too much tho.
