The Grizzlies went on an 11-3 run coming out of this timeout, so I think he succeeded in firing them up to some extent. But it was too little, too late.

It’s gonna be interesting to see what this team is like when Ja comes back. I don’t know how the chemistry will be between him and Smart, ideally Ja can grow as a player by having someone like Smart around.

Smart will play next to anyone trying to win. Ja wants to win, bonehead life choices aside, I know he wants to be back on the court helping his team.
