Data Hoarder

We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a Program, which can automatically backup folders from one HDD to the 2nd. I have a windows PC. In that I have 2 separate HDDs installed. I'd love to have it automatically copy over to the 2nd HDD installed.

I guess this is almost RAID1, but essentially it's more of a backup than redudancy.

Is there a program you guys can recmomend for that?

You can use FreeFileSync to sync the data across two drives. I wouldn't say that it's a complete backup, but should be enough for your use case.
