Hello!

Over the passed 24hrs, I have inadvertently become enamored and decided I want to start a watch collection. Currently have an Apple Watch and find myself wishing I used that money to buy an analog watch.

I come from a military family, wanted to go Seal forever, then decided to join my local PD (currently in application process). I am an avid shooter and currently work at my local gun store to pass time. All being said, I obviously like watches with military connections. I’ve read through a lot of W.O.E. articles and found some real interesting stuff.

I would like to get my hands on a MACV-SOG Ciso issued Seiko 5 and I know that for sure, that’s really about it… I am undecided about Divers watches, but I am open to suggestions. Any must-haves with a cool military/service background? Budget aside as I figure this will end up a very drawn out, expensive collection.

This is the only legitimate brand for a true military watch. As per Wikipedia:

Marathon started supplying watches to the Allies of World War II in 1941. Today Marathon manufactures watches that conform to United States Military Standard MIL-PRF-46374G, as well as those of other nations. Marathon is the sole supplier of watches to the United States Armed Forces.
