The shock on the watch while using a firearm can be really tough on watches. For this reason I’d consider a G-Shock.
I’d take a look at the Hamilton Khaki and Pilot watches

Marathon comes to mind.
This is the only legitimate brand for a true military watch. As per Wikipedia:
Marathon started supplying watches to the Allies of World War II in 1941. Today Marathon manufactures watches that conform to United States Military Standard MIL-PRF-46374G, as well as those of other nations. Marathon is the sole supplier of watches to the United States Armed Forces.
Sangin, hands down. Started by a marine raider a few years ago. Serious SOC testing. Lots of guys reporting 100k+ rounds fired while wearing, both in and out of uniform.
Marathon is legit, but their customer service is a mess. Sangin has a lifetime guarantee, and when you have an issue, Jake the owner answers you right away and gets it sorted. I had a broken date wheel that was back in my hands free of charge in two weeks.
Lots of options from quartz to selita automatics, pilot and divers.
I think there is a limited edition Gshock thin blue line family of watches on sale at the moment.
Panerai started as a military watch and you cam find affordable homages for those (ask in r/Chinesewatches).
The citizen Promaster ny0040 used to be issued to the Italian military.
Pulsar and seiko and cwc I think used to have contracts with the British forces.
There also are the ww watches, the dirty dozen and the German fliegers too.

Check out the Seiko 5 SNK381. It is a spiritual successor to the MACV-SOG models.
