at 0:45 AD and Lebron both touch the ball after DMitch's first free throw.

Why? to throw him off or is it just superstition? or something else entirely?

To get into the free throw shooter's head. If you notice, they also sometimes will switch spots with the person on the other side of the lane. Anything to disrupt the free throw shooter.

Same reason they go out of their way to block the practice shots players take after a buzzer or whistle yeah
