I also think he's always been a douchebag. But, we ignored it because he was great.
He's also pretty meme-worthy/entertaining at times

Oh no, he talked trash a few times and bragged about having rings (which every other NBA player who has experienced success does).

As a Suns fan who has watched this sub hate on a really solid dude in Booker for not wanting to be double teamed once and getting mad at a dinosaur I am not surprised by the amount of hate this extremely mild incident has garnered. Internet is ruining lives.
You'll never actually know because you don't rub shoulders with professional athletes. You just watch short clips of an athlete then jump on social media to react to it and now you think you know a person that you've never interacted with a day in your life...
The Internet is really screwing with people's perspectives
On the bright side this makes it easy for Warriors to not renew the contract or atleast offer such a small contract that Klay rejects or accepts it and then there's space sign other big players.
