Fields will be a decent backup, maybe even a starter on a team that can coach him up and give him tools to succeed. He has all the talent in the world but is just too inconsistent for anyone to take the risk in saying "He's our guy". There were throws in this game that are throws a franchise QB has to make if they can be considered one and he missed most of them.
He has been in a mostly horrible situation all his career and I'm still 50/50 on if this is a development issue over a skill/talent issue. But we can't go forward with him for a number of reasons and especially with this dogshit front office and coaching staff.
yeah heard those excuses for 3 years. could be he's just not that guy.
