I think the sixers may have won the trade

Honestly I think even if you ignore the two 1sts and a 2nd the Clippers now owe the Sixers, I still think the Sixers won the trade just based on the players swapped. Losing Harden was like addition by subtraction for them, and the guys they got have been really helpful for them. Meanwhile the Clippers could really use some of those wings instead of just another ball dominant guard who doesn't defend.

not to mention of how important Batum was to keep shit under control. I would think that would be Georges job or PJs but both just look up at the ceiling.

Hey man, just give him like....30 games to get back to being "prime Harden"

....which means he will probably try to demand a trade by January.

If it's not looking like Ballmer is gonna give Harden his big payday, then you can pretty much guarantee Harden is gonna demand a trade. His whole point in going to the Clippers was because he believed they were the team most likely to give him his max.

mfers doubted Morey. would've been a franchise ending disaster if he gave in and maxed out HarFatass

Idk apparently ownership pushed for the trade not Morey

It does appear ownership bumped up the timeline Morey had, wanting to avoid another Ben Simmons fiasco. But Morey is the one who didn’t give Harden the contract, shopped him, and ultimately put the trade together (which ownership then urged him to take)

At least that’s how I interpreted it

Yeah Morey not giving him what he wanted I agree with 100% correct. Granted it was reported he was willing to make him an offer for I believe a 2-3 year deal with the last year being a club option so who knows

Morey probably expected harden to be less ass in the playoffs

[–] definitelynotaspy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Come on man you can do better than HarFatass

Larden is right there

[–] T4hunderb0lt@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Absolutely, and the nephews on this sub acted like we were crazy for not maxing him lol. Morey is a top tier GM for a reason.

[–] Cudizonedefense@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Very few people were acting like you were crazy for not maxing him

The criticism of the sixers I saw was that Morey promised to max him and he didn’t but supposedly would trade harden to the clippers so harden opted in for that. Whether or not this is true was the debate

The majority of this sub was absolutely not saying the sixers are dumb not to max harden

[–] zaviex@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

They also actually believe Morey promised him a max which makes no sense at all. the conditions for a max were better last summer.
