If the Clippers decide not to re-sign him, then he'll probably have to settle for the MLE, as the only teams with the cap space to offer him more are going to be bad teams that are rebuilding and who probably won't want to commit a bunch of money to a 35 year old diva who is more likely to cause drama by demanding a trade than helping to develop their young players.
So if someone is going to give him a contract that's much larger than what Harden is worth, it's almost surely going to be the Clippers.
Harden was going to the rockets before they rejected him and became good: he’s absolutely not giving a shit about competing anymore n just wants the bag
"Please somebody give me hundreds of millions of dollars! I have thousands of strippers to put through college!"
Tbh we have a lot of cap space next year since tobi is expiring lol. I don't think we jump on the harden rodeo again, nor does he want to jump on the Morey train but all of our players still really liked him and sang his praises and still do really. If a contender can figure out a way to get Harden on a high value contract and run the bench unit, he would probably flourish. He's no longer good enough to be "the guy" in a starting lineup, but would probably kill it as a 6th man if he could buy into that role.
I left out the Sixers cause I simply do not see any chance where Morey and Harden join up again. It would be hilarious if Harden had to slink back to Philly on the cheap after all the shit he pulled though lol
