I found a thread on twitter and the guy breaks down Luka’s impact with supporting data. Is Luka a generational talent or an overrated player? Everyone seems to think he’s a winning player but the stats say otherwise.

Some stats below:

Kyrie with Luka together: +/- +2.95 (286 mins)

Luka (Kyrie on bench): +/- -3.5 (275 mins)

Kyrie (Luka on bench): +/- +5.6 (142 mins)

Both Harden (in his prime) and Luka are winning players. Don't use plus/minus, it's a shit stat that doesn't have enough context to be the sole indicator.

Harden in his prime had great impact though. Even prime Russ did.

Not big into advanced stats but I’ve always been confused why they don’t like Luka. Does anybody have an explanation?

Harden had elite rapm and advanced plus minus stats. Luka doesn’t.
