He’s for sure about to become a politician.

[–] Possible-End-8743@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just what this country needs another billionaire in power. I can't wait for the sweeping changes in the material conditions for the working class "nice" guy cuban might propose.

I guess we are just removing the middle man now and giving the keys right to those who've been paying our politicians off rather than putting systems in place to stop the corruption and purchasing of our democracy. But I forgot..money is the only virtue in America it seems.

[–] momentumdraggin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

God I hope he runs for President….we need someone like him now.

[–] Dirtiest_Dangles@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That’s where the real money is…

[–] chibuye92@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i've always understood this to be true, but today i finally wanna ask, how? what does the real money actually entail?

[–] yoppee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No way he would lose really fast

[–] Derrickmb@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Naw he got diagnosed w cancer.

[–] clintgreasewoood@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Governor of Texas? Maybe challenge Ted Cruz for Senate

[–] AnnaKendrickPerkins@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or he's dying, not to be morbid.

[–] lolvalue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That or he’s about to get canceled

[–] jimi-ray-tesla@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

on that topic, check out the monstrosity that is adelson

[–] GreedWillKillUsAll@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

See I was thinking he just got a real bad health diagnosis and wants to go out on a rampage

[–] Ektaliptka@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] DannyDOH@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Or he was at the same club as Josh Giddey

[–] Ill_Celery_7654@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

With all the Billionaires and Politicians that were on Epstein Island I wouldn’t be surprised.

[–] Wuffy_RS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ross Perot 2:Electric Boogaloo

[–] _Poppagiorgio_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s hilarious to think Mark Cuban will be the Disclosure president.

[–] ElToberino@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Mark Cuban was interested in politics from a young age

[–] ModsEmbezzleMoney@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I miss those characters so much

[–] VegAinaLover@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I enjoyed the intrigue and speculation enough that I almost wish I had never watched the finale.

[–] Outbound3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d vote for him instead of Biden or trump. It’s the trumper main argument he’s a business man, only unlike trump he hasn’t bankrupteddamn near every business he’s ever owned

[–] tomhalejr@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

That was my first thought. Didn't he mention something during the last presidential cycle about it? Like, not now, or timing didn't work out (with ballot qualifications I assume), or something like that?

[–] Plenty-Sleep8540@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hopefully if he's serious he goes for Governor or something first rather than straight to President since that won't likely work and then if he would eventually win higher office he'd have a bit of experience in government as would the people he works with.

Or he and any other billionaires could stay the fuck out of government like they should.

[–] senor_moustache@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Senate election is next year. Governor isn’t till 2026. He might try for senate and then president in 28.

[–] Reasonable-Push-8271@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If there's a country left in 2028...

[–] jaywalker_69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Bruh I hate these celebrities going for the top job

Maybe go for Texas governor first or something, Jesus

[–] wh1036@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

As badly as I want someone to oust Greg Abbott, Mark Cuban has no chance in Texas because he is on the record saying that gun laws should be reformed due to mass shootings. Beto was the most popular non-R candidate we've had in years and he lost in a landslide for making similar statements.

[–] Nutholsters@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

My first question was “Is he depressed?”

[–] ModsEmbezzleMoney@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I jumped to terminal illness then thought politics. Who knows with this dude. Hope he doesn't have like early dementia or something.

[–] IcedCoffeeIsBetter@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wouldn't be overseeing basketball ops if it was terminal illness

[–] WarPuig@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s running.

[–] TheWonderfulLife@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yea there’s no other explanation. He literally LOVES both those things. And nothing outside of becoming a political figure prevents him from continuing to be on TV and be a primary professional sports owner. And he’s gonna fund his own way.

He’s got my vote 😂

…or he’s going to get accused of something.

Leaving Shark Tank and selling his basketball team in a few days isn’t normal behavior. A life altering disease doesn’t really explain it. He either wants to reduce his public persona or to divest from public assets. Politics or wanting to draw less attention to his family fits the bill, but so does facing charges.

He was accused and cleared (criminally) of sexual assault back in 2011. That’s enough proof to say he’s innocent, so don’t preemptively shit on him, but it’s something to note if something else comes up. That was way before Me Too and no civil (aka cash grab) charges were filed. Plus, the Mavericks already had problems with SA being ignored within the organization.

I’d watch how Sony responds to this and how much he gets featured in shark tank content going forward. The studio is risk averse.

[–] 100wordanswer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's still running the team tho, so he's not getting out of public life. He's just cashing in.

[–] Legalize-Birds@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or theres about to be more scandalous accusations coming out from things he's apart of

[–] worksucksbro@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Either that or something big is about to break

[–] SocialistNixon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He should try running for Governor of Texas rather than polling nothing in a general election.

[–] Either-Wallaby-3755@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or he got a cancer diagnosis

[–] richb83@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly, Republicans would probably line up to get him on the ticket to move away from the other guy.

[–] yupyupyuypypn@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or get me too’d

[–] Agitated-Savings-229@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Totally agree with you.

[–] Emotional_Pizza_1222@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or about to get exposed

[–] jankology@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When Cuban was out of college and selling software systems one of his first and biggest clients was Perot Systems (Owned by Ross Perot).

[–] DaveyDukes@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My first thought was health concerns.

[–] Fluid-Night-1910@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He wants to spend more time with family after his daughters went to college - I read somewhere

[–] eramthgin007@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'd vote for him.

[–] iAm-Tyson@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or he’s getting out of all his most inflated assets at peak value before this economy finally tanks.
