You probably thought that, considering how close we are to 2024, you might as well get a head start so you're up to date next year. But that's not how it works. The "© 202X" is here to mark the year in which the latest work was published.
If you don't update the design of your website every year, you should leave the year that the latest design was published in.
By "latest design published" do you mean the general look of the website or do you mean publishing any content such as a new portfolio piece or blog too?
Totally agree on the comment. some people mention the first publish date and the current like. 2013 to 2023.
Haha at the very least a computer scientist should know how to dynamically update it
