I remember a Bill Simmons pod a few years ago where Bill said "Klay Thompson has one of the highest approval ratings" of any NBA player in the league.

Now he's pretty hated on social media, reddit, etc.

Before you say his play has dropped off this year, (it has) he was pretty in-line with his career averages last year, and people were still kind of shitting on him last year too.

Dude never deserved the hype. Dude was making all-star games year after year over guys like Dame while putting up 20/3/3 (albeit with good defense). I never understood it, but I'm glad people are starting to come around.
