Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

The Jerboa app crashes when I try to login from infosec.pub (V. 0.19.0). I hadn't used the app for a while, so I can't guarantee that this issue started with the server's switch to 0.19.0.

I had the same problem. I forced stop, cleared cache, cleared storage, and uninstalled. Then I installed it again from scratch. That fixed the problem for me, but there may have been other factors.

Make sure your Jerboa app is at ≥ 0.53, the Play Store version is currently lagging behind at 0.50.

So how do I update Jerboa is the play store doesn't have the latest? Uninstall and reinstall did not solve the issue for me.

It's now on the Play Store as well :)

the Play Store version is currently lagging behind at 0.50.

Why? Can't the devs just push the updates to the Play store?

This creates the impression that the Fediverse isn't ready for prime time. I understand, that we are in an early stage, but lemmy works. Apparently, Lemmy still sees breaking changes. That's not a deal breaker if you prepare for it, i.e. you rollout the client apps before the production backend. Yes, instances are run by individual volunteers, but some guidance goes a long way.

He did, sometimes the issue is with Google taking a long time to release the update to the general public, especially with smaller apps.
