Is it wrong to assume that climate change has already done us in (the majority of us anyways), and we are now just catching up to how bad we really are screwed?
I already believe it. Humanity had a good run though.
Nah, we drove 70% of all species to extinction since we took our first steps. Fuck humanity.
I mean, it was our first try. Next time we'll get them all
Hopefully we lose to the dolphins.
When mammals encounter an invasive pathogen, they increase their temperature to assist with the response to eliminate the danger, often requiring only 2-3C above their steady state average. Maybe we aren't actually causing climate change and Earth is just fighting off the human infection.
