Mr Nenshi is a regional treasure. I missed him from his Calgary Mayor days, with the sharp, witty retorts sadly required by a non-white guy in politics in the area. I only hope he won't be beaten by blue-province racism in this new chapter.
A dear friend of mine may have gone to Uni with him and still maintains some correspondence. To all reports, Mr Nenshi's a great politician and a really good human.
And Ms Smith isn't just a threat to Alberta: the entire region's average IQ sinks noticeably when she's around, and that's dangerous for people driving, caring for kids and the elders in our communities, and for people voting. The effects aren't constrained to Alberta, but leak into neighbouring provinces as well. It's more than Flatlander Psychosis, too.
I'm curious how many people in this group would ever even consider the NDP.
EDIT I know it's not NIL, but I'm curious if it's more than an insignificant number.
