I feel like this is the exact sort of thing that would do incredibly well on Netflix. Cheap to produce, has a household name attached to it, is a sequel to a much loved 'classic' and doesn't require much from the viewer.

Streaming should be knocking out thrillera, dramas and raunchy comedies. They are what dont make it to the cinema anymore and they are what the market needs.

Instead they mostly pump out leftover scripts in these categories, turn good ideas to limited series or make terrible blockbusters.
