I think Farrell suffered a similar sort of thing as Brad Pitt did in the 90s in that he's super attractive...oh and he was in that bad Daredevil movie. Aside from that I can't remember him ever being the reason a movie was bad, and whenever I see him he's absolutely fantastic.

Big Fish was one of the first movies I watched when I started really paying attention to what I was watching. And to this day it remains one of my favourites. Sleepy Hollow doesn't get enough love either. Stellar cast.

I've only seen one or two WSL games on TV but I'm always happy to see more sport content on Lemmy so good luck.

I feel like this is the exact sort of thing that would do incredibly well on Netflix. Cheap to produce, has a household name attached to it, is a sequel to a much loved 'classic' and doesn't require much from the viewer.

Played it when it got released last year and I had a really fun 4-5 hours with it....and then very quickly fell off of it. It seems like a great little game with so much going on, but the core loop wasn't working for me and yeah, I jumped off.

Unfortunately my partner has no interest in films, let alone films from the 50s. I'd love to show her Rear Window, 12 Angry Men, North by Northwest and Rope but she'd be asleep before I got the Blu-ray in the drive....if you will.

I googled '60s films' and that was listed as 60 so I went with it, if it's not then sorry.

Would appear I have nothing to offer....but if you want films from the late fifties then I've got a huge list 🤣

Vertigo immediately jumps to mind. I don't think it's Hitchcocks best work, but it's still a classic for a reason.

After President Abraham Lincoln's assassination, his secretary of war and friend, Edwin Stanton begins the manhunt to track down Lincoln's assassin John Wilkes Booth.

I'm a bit of a Presidential history nerd, so I'm super interested to see this one. I'm also a Toby Menzies nerd, so I'm interested to see him too.

I'm only through one episode so far, and I think it had a pretty solid start. I'm hoping (and I would think this to be the case given who Menzies is portraying) that it focuses on the politics of the day, rather than merely being a show about bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Tearaway was designed from the ground up to be played on the Vita and I'd say it does a pretty fantastic job of using that hardware well. It's also super cute.

For a moment I thought this was going to be a spin-off story about the whale who suddenly popped into existence in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Unfortunately not.

Been loving this game for the last few weeks.

Already got the Masters of the Air on my watch list, but what else is worthy of my time?

*I've finished Ted Lasso already

Let's Talk About Games

!letstalkaboutgames@feddit.uk

We've got some great gaming communities on Lemmy for sure, but with LTAG I wanted to create a space to allow for players to come together to discuss games, the community around them and the ways in which we play, interact and consume them.

If that sounds like your sort of thing then head on over. We've got shortbread and builders tea on tap.

Okay.

So we've got an entirely flat surface that also happens to be the exact same length as the earth's surface.

If you had one continuous piece of string that went from one end of that flat surface to the other, and on one end there was attached a bell... would you be able to ring the bell by pulling on the other end of string?

Capcom Exec says Videogames need to be more expensive

Just thought it might be interesting to get a conversation going around this topic. Obviously it's stirred up a lot of opinion.

What's your take on it?
