I feel like you watch two Wes Anderson movies and you basically get it, and that's enough. I've never wanted to go back and re-watch one to enjoy the storyline again.

It's a nice aesthetic though, and I'm sure other people love them.

And I've rewatched most of them several times. Anyone gets his style quickly, but it's so nice that I can't get enough of it. I didn't really like Asteroid City though, IMO he went so extreme with the style that it ended up taking away from everything else. But I'll happily re-watch any of his other movies anytime and anywhere.

I made it halfway through Asteroid city and gave up. Cool aesthetic but man I just can't do his style of dialogue

I love Anderson movies but I was struggling with asteroid city as well. Isle of Dogs, Grand Budapest, and fantastic mr fox are his top movies for me.

Yeah dude, it's too much for me these days too.

I don't think you understand. This one has different people, so hype

Isn’t this the same kinda cast as Asteroid City?

There's bound to be some overlap in these big ensemble movies. I'm usually up for some new Wes Anderson, but I did think the meta narrative in Astroid City was pretty silly and could have been worked into the story itself if they didn't try to cram 30 actors into the main cast.
