Not a fan of the last few games?
76 was a bit different, but I still liked it overall once the bugs were worked out. I thought FO4 was decent too, even though I wasn't all that interested in the base-building component.
Fallout 4 VR is fun and the only way I'd play that game ever again. NV and even 3 were way better.
Bugs were your major issue with the game? That's it?
Personally I didn't like 76 because it's boring. There's nothing fun to do and story is told through terminals FFS.
I don't understand why they couldn't just make a normal Fallout game with real people in it. You could do it Borderlands/Dead Island-style, where people can jump in on your session, or go full role-play and give people real jobs with real duties. Or a hybrid where you can either be a RPer, or a wanderer in a server where the RP jobs are replaced by NPCs. Either option would have worked better than the crap we got.
It's just a matter of opinion I suppose.
With all the changes they made post launch I really think the game got a lot better. They ended up updating it to be much more like a trypical Fallout game. I enjoyed it more than FO4 in some ways.
The story wasn't as good as NV or FO3, but the mechanics, world/envoronment, and new mutants were all great IMO.
FO4 has good gameplay, the story is fine. 76 is a online version of FO4 with a subpar story.
I wonder if I'd like it now considering I wasn't a fan The Elder Scrolls Online.
It really did seem to go through a No Man's Sky turn around from what I've heard
It really turned itself around after launch. I'd give it a try next time it goes on sale.
