A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

Equally when music "used to be better" it's your peers churning out this garbage not your parents who knew better.

Your parents had better taste in music.

I politely disagree.

I used to love pop in my teens year

Transitioned to rock afterward.

Discovered heavy metal in my late forties and now listening to 2000s prog consistently.

I still love some "old" pop/rock songs, tho.

Mastodon Opeth Gojira Dream Theater

Yeah, quite mainstream stuff, at least for experienced metal listeners. Always looking for something new, anyway.

Night Verses, Cloudkicker, The Algorithm -Brute Force, Sgaile, Wintersun, and then to mix it up a bit: Standards, and Lantlös
