His “seal of approval” is just him quote tweeting the announcement saying “Amazing work!”

I wouldn’t be surprised if Larian had at least partial rights over the main cast, though

I'm pretty sure Hasbro owns all the IP and it was just licensed to Larian. The main cast has already been milked by WotC in the form of MTG cards.
