Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

Summary

Democratic divisions intensified as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi sharply criticized Chuck Schumer for supporting a Republican-led funding bill to avoid a government shutdown.

AOC called Schumer's decision a "betrayal," urging Senate Democrats to reject the legislation backed by Trump and Elon Musk. Pelosi called the bill a "devastating assault" on working families.

Schumer defended his stance, arguing a shutdown would empower Trump and Musk further.

The controversy sparked suggestions among Democrats that AOC might challenge Schumer in a primary.

this comment was pointless, there's no point arguing with you. just know that calling other leftists zionists out of pocket is a shit thing to do. you tear the left apart and make other leftists mad when you do shit like that. believe it or not, when you baselessly accuse someone of being a Zionist, they don't react very nicely. try not being a dick in the future :3

real shit I liked seeing you on posts before that, but now that I know you accuse anyone who doesn't like the correct dictatorships of being a zionist, you just piss me off. don't be so pointlessly antagonistic towards other leftists who agree with you on almost everything, is that really too much to ask?

"Try to not be a dick in the future [Incoherent rambling about how I hate you and everything you stand for]"

I genuinely am asking this in good faith, are you doing fine mentally?

[–] EndlessApollo@lemmy.world 1 points 2 minutes ago

Nah :/ I'm getting better but I still struggle with not being aggressive like this. That person thinks I want Palestinians dead though, so they can go fuck themself :3 nothing pisses me off more then leftist infighting, and they do it over l i t e r a l l y n o t h i n g. I literally just said I don't like .ml instances, that's why they called me a zionist. I hope they learn to stop being a cunt who things it's ok to say people love genocide out of nowhere. Real shit, they could've just apologized for it, but nah, they doubled down and insisted I was being a dick for not taking kindly to LITERALLY BEING CALLED A ZIONIST FOR NO REASON.

I didn't do anything to earn getting called a Zionist, I literally just said I don't like how toxic ml instances tend to be. Me not liking to be called a Zionist is not at all comparable to them calling me a zionist. They started this, and again, they could've easily ended it by apologizing and moving on. I even gave them the chance to do so and they refused. Hopefully they realize it's not good to call comrades zionists out of pocket <3

oh yeah it's bc I'm not a big fan of how toxic and full of Stalin and Putin bros the .ml instances are cx sorry for not liking people who want me locked up for being trans, clearly I support killing all Palestinians

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

newsom's headed in that direction.

[–] EndlessApollo@lemmy.world 0 points 16 minutes ago* (last edited 12 minutes ago) (1 children)

Then I'm happy for you getting a candidate you'll love <3 he'll be expedient enough for you in terms of hurting homeless and queer people

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 0 points 7 minutes ago (1 children)

But I don't want to hurt homeless and queer people. I'm not a centrist.

[–] EndlessApollo@lemmy.world 1 points 48 seconds ago

Now you see how stupid it is baselessly accusing others of supporting atrocities?

Please stop doing the whole leftist infighting thing 🌸 it's not at all fun or constructive
