People need to remember that CR7 and Messi are outliers.

It will be a long time before we see someone get to that level, and to an extent it's arguable that they only got as good due to each other.

I completely agree. But if they are saying "Messi/Cristiano's throne" then they are comparing them to the goats themselves.
