This feels like a dig at Lugue 1
It might feel like, but that's not his intention, quite the opposite. He (or at least his entourage) are campaigning for his return to the NT (good luck with that!) and their argument is that the Saudi League is a high level league, so N'Golo still has the goods to play with Les Bleus.

Right players for a squad literally means they make the squad better so in your own context better and right is the same thing
