Despite his similar look, when I watch him in mandalorian, narcos, got, or Last of us, i forget im watching an actor and get sucked into the character. To me that makes him one of the few this generation who can pull it off.

Also as a Latino love him and he’s proud to be Latino, unlike Oscar Isaacs who goes out of his way to erase his Latino background. Also love Diego Luna

Maybe that could be the reason I don't see the hype. I never particularly noticed anything in his roles. He's pretty good but that's all for me. Oscar Isaac on the other hand, idk he was Latino but his roles make me feel like he stands out. Idk how to say it.

I can understand trying to do what you think will get you roles, especially in a current and post-Trump America, but I think diversity is incredibly special. Like, I want to know and understand all of what makes a person the icon that they are, and celebrate it with them.

I'm probably totally biased by the multicultural influences and experiences in my life.
