They're issued Garmin Tactix's now, although they aren't wearing them in the picture
This one? https://shop.opticsplanet.com/garmin-tactix-delta-watch.html?_iv_code=GA-WT-TAC01-010-02357-00&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjwp8OpBhAFEiwAG7NaEgpGYMU78JuqLSPtze8ADjuHFMUtVq3Ftqw3HqPrdybJt_OejZaFHRoChpUQAvD_BwE
500 hours for a smartwatch! Holy crap thats insane
Those are some rad af features.
Lol yeah I was issued a tactixs delta, I am decidedly not a delta or green beret, but they are definitely the standard “operator” watch now a days. I’m a door gunner for reference.
I had this patch on my JPC on deployment, thought you'd find it humorous
Should go straight to the source and buy from milspecmonkey.com instead of a reseller on etsy. Awesome selection of morale patches.
I always loved that one.
I thought they don't allow GPS watches...
Isn't the battery an issue? These smart watches don't have the longevity of a quartz after all, right? (max 3 weeks i believe)
Note to all: complete greenhorn on both topics here, never was in the army, never had any such smart watch.
My Garmin Fenix 7S lasts me 18 days. But about 9-10 if I’m actively using the GPS for hours a day (hikes, jogging, etc)
My Instinct Solar lasted 3 months without charging
Edit: it's more about the features like the ballistics calculator and GPS than the battery anyway.
Ah ok, didn't know they lasted so long.
Realistically, you'd only need it to last a couple of days, as you'd charge it before a mission anyway
Good point
