Isn't the battery an issue? These smart watches don't have the longevity of a quartz after all, right? (max 3 weeks i believe)
Note to all: complete greenhorn on both topics here, never was in the army, never had any such smart watch.
My Instinct Solar lasted 3 months without charging
Edit: it's more about the features like the ballistics calculator and GPS than the battery anyway.
Ah ok, didn't know they lasted so long.
Realistically, you'd only need it to last a couple of days, as you'd charge it before a mission anyway

My Garmin Fenix 7S lasts me 18 days. But about 9-10 if I’m actively using the GPS for hours a day (hikes, jogging, etc)
