Recently had a back and forth with the Mayor of OKC about this on X. He basically said this was the best offer the Thunder gave them after negotiations and if it’s not approved the Thunder WILL relocate, again.

“After months of collaboration and discussion” w/o talking with the actual residents.

He’s just trying to get this on the resume before running for governor, and he can kiss my ass.

I’m not a fan of his either but based on recent history I believe him when he says that’s the offer the Thunder negotiated and they will leave if they don’t get EXACTLY what they want.

We have a team because Seattle wouldn’t bend over backwards so I assume that’s the same strategy Thunder ownership is using now. “We are going to be good for a few years so give us this now or we are gone”
