His father, Félix, is Congolese and was a track and field athlete who competed in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. His mother, Elodie de Fautereau. His dad and mom are 6'6 and 6'3.

Yao is the only child of 6-foot-7-inch Yao Zhiyuan and 6-foot-3-inch Fang Fengdi, both of whom were former professional basketball players.

Even significantly more crazy, Gheorghe Muresan was 7'7 and his mom and dad were 5'7 and 5'9

speaking of Gheorghe Muresan, he has two sons, George and Victor. George is 6'8" and Victor 6"11"

That means in just about every situation his kids are in, they're the tallest person in the room. Except for when George is with his dad, who is almost a full foot taller

On a side note, Gheorghe sat in front of me at a summer league game about five years ago. Even though he was three rows below me, he was still obstructing my view
