This is kind of an omnipresent theme year to year. It's impatient fans and story-craved media. The reality is it takes awhile (3-4 years) for young talented players to really develop.
A lot of cers fans are looking for multiple players to make big leaps this year, and not many of them are ready for disappointment from at least a couple of the players, which is inevitable. Either Mathurin won't quite be there, or Tyrese won't improve markably from last year, or Toppin wont click... It just never happens that literally everything works out in just one offseason. It always takes time.
I am a big fan of the nuggets, too, and watched them build their squad over the past five years. I remember the nuggets fan base predicting a title in 2021 when Will fucking Barton was still jacking up 20+ shots a game and Murray wasn't even close to the player he has become.
TLDR; our ADD culture wants young players to develop overnight, but reality is that it takes at least three years.
