Yema Superman Héritage
Loving the hand set
I love it!
I hear so many mixed reviews on Yema (quality control issues, customer service, etc). How has your experience been?
TL;DR Beautiful watches, questionable QC, service tbd.
I had a Navygraf Marine Nationale. Beautiful watch with a visibly misaligned bezel. The kind that would make you lose your citizenship, if you were a Swiss watchmaker. Their service offered to remedy the situation so I sent it in a week ago.
That's too bad to hear, but glad they offered to fix it. Hopefully that's an easy and quick process!
It's those QC issues that make me hesitant, but I love their watches. I'm sure I'll give one a go at some point!
Thanks ! it's a personal favorite as well.
I think those complaints come from the early models when the brand made a comeback in 2018. Some had a Sellita movement instead of an ETA 2824-2 (but they're really good as well) and the fact that the hands and dials had different lume. Couldn't be spotted in the sun but once dark, the hands would glow blue instead of green. This issue was quickly solved with the brand calling back all the models to change the hands.
I'm lucky enough to have bought second hand a model with new hands, an ETA movement and a sapphire crystal.
No issues for now. It will be serviced for the first time in about 2 years and is keeping accurate time (though it tends to lose a few seconds too quickly to my taste, so this might be part of the quality control issues you heard as well).
I take it for a swim when I'm at the sea (great use of a 300 meters water resistant professional diver if you ask me 🥲)
