For a nation of our size, second and thrid place in the wc is an enormous success. Yes it would be nice if we managed to win one of those but France was better than us in the final and so was Argentina in the semis.
As for whats to come when Modric and Perisic leave, it's anybodys guess, but we will surely go through some down period.
